Becoming a Sponsor of the 5 Cyclone Air Cadet Squadron
Help Today's Youth Become Tomorrow's Leaders
Sponsorship Opportunity:
The squadron was created in 2005 in Russell, Ontario. It has since proven to be a solid and well established organization. We are very proud of the achievements and the hard work of all our cadets that has lead them to be fine young citizens. As the Squadron celebrates its 20th anniversary we have supported hundreds of local youths from Russell, Embrun, Vars, Greely, Winchester and surrounding areas.
Your sponsorship will help the 5 Cyclone Squadron cadets have opportunities to participate in biathlon, Olympic-style marksmanship,become members of the brass and reed band, survival training for flight crew, and flight activities. Our top senior cadets may go on to earn scholarships to obtain their private pilot’s licence. These cadets wear their wings with a pride rarely found in today’s youth.
Since the squadron functions on a minimal budget coming from the Department of National Defence, we are dependent on the generosity of our sponsors such as the local Royal Canadian Legion Branches, the Township of Russell, Mini Mall Storage facilities and other generous local companies. The 5 Cyclone Squadron also depends heavily on charitable donations through the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) and local donations directly from our community. You will see the cadets of the squadron in our community raising funds by participating in local pen days, bottle drives and car washes.
Our most valued asset are the relationships we have developed with our sponsors. Sponsorships from local and surrounding area businesses and associations keep the lights on at 5 Cyclone Squadron. Without them we couldn’t do what we do for the cadets. The Squadron has a deep commitment to helping people in need, our cadets may visit our elderly or keep the streets clean by picking up litter, planting flowers within the community and even collecting non-perishable food for the our local Food Bank.

This sponsorship offers various opportunities for business exposure, including showcasing your advertising materials on our website, prominent placement during events we host or attend (such as parades), and featuring your logo and contact information on our website and social media accounts.
